LST 393 Movie on Deck
Join the LST 393 for this annual tradition. The movie of the evening will be Double Indemnity. Double Indemnity (1944) is director Billy Wilder's classic film noir masterpiece - a cynical, witty, and sleazy thriller about adultery, corruption and murder. The urgently-told, highly-stylized story was Wilder's third film after The Major and the Minor (1942) and Five Graves to Cairo (1943). Wilder effectively used locales in the greater Los Angeles area: the Glendale train station, the Hollywood Bowl, 'Jerry's Market,' a night-time downtown office building, a Spanish-style house on Quebec St., the protagonist's apartment at the Chateau Marmont, etc. The movie starts at dusk. Concessions will be available on deck. Donations appreciated. The LST 393 is located at 560 Mart in Downtown Muskegon. For more information call 231-730-1477. www.lst393.org
