or stop by the office in the Historic Depot
Stop at The Muskegon County Convention and Visitors Bureau for visitor information or to see the renovated train depot. It's located across from Heritage Landing. The Historic Depot, built in 1895, and designed by Sidney J. Osgood and A. W. Rush Architects, has been honored as a "historic engineering landmark". The Romanesque architecture was renovated in 1995 by the County of Muskegon. Besides being home of the Convention and Visitors Bureau, it is also presently a Transportation Museum. The Depot is a focal point enhancing lakefront activities and uniting downtown Muskegon's cultural and commercial resources. Both the State of Michigan and United States Government have designated the Depot as a historic landmark.
